Here is your next faith-building Prosperity Promise in Deuteronomy. Deuteronomy 8:1-5 KJV 1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. 2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. 5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God chasteneth thee. While the children of Israel were mired in the wilderness experience, God humbled them and proved them so they could see for themselves whether they would keep his commandments or not. During this learning process, God provided Six Miracles for them. Miracle #1: Live (verse 1.) Miracle #2: Multiply (verse 1.) Miracle #3: Possess land (verse 1.) Miracle #4: He provided a miracle food for them, manna, which no man knows to this day what it was. They knew it supernaturally came from God (verse 3.) Miracle #5: He provided a miracle on their raiment or clothes, which did not grow old (verse 4.) Miracle #6: Their feet did not swell at all during the entire 40 years they were in the wilderness-learning experience (verse 4.) In other words, as He proved, humbled and hungered them, He was teaching them one basic thing; He must make them know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live (verse 3.) But what are the words of God that man must live by? They are the promises God covenanted to Abraham and contained for us Christians in the Holy Bible. Furthermore, these promises are grouped into four divisions of blessings.:
Here we deal with the Prosperity Division of Promises. Here is basically how the promises worked in conjunction with the commands. Four hundred years (ball park) before God gave the Law Commands to Moses, He gave the Four Divisions of Promises to Abraham that you see above. When the Law Commands came along under Moses, God attached them to the Four Promised Divisions above. When a Jew sinned in the Old Testament, Moses' law commanded he make a specific sacrifice for his sin. When he made the sacrifice, Abraham's blessings kept right on continuing for him. The sacrifice made his Abrahamic promise continue without interruption regardless of his sin. If he did not sacrifice the proper sacrifice as demanded by Moses' law, he lost his Abrahamic blessings until he made it right with God by sacrificing. Then his Abrahamic blessings started up again for him. In time, Jesus became God's final sacrifice for sin. Now when a Jew accepts Jesus as his/her sacrifice for all his/her sins the process is complete. He/she has no need to sacrifice again. When we Gentiles accept Jesus as our sacrifice for our sins, we are grafted into the above Abrahamic Seed Group and their Abrahamic promises on an equal footing with Abraham and his physical seed. Gentiles have no need to sacrifice anymore. By grafting, we Christians no longer have to sacrifice over and over for our sins since Jesus paid it all at one time, once for all. Now in verse 1 above, when He says," All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers," we want to make this sound impossible for us to do. We make it sound impossible because no one but Jesus could keep all the commandments. Therefore, we are out of the running. We can't make it. We forget that the statement in verse 1, "All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live etc." included the command to sacrifice when they sin so they can keep all the promises God promised them. Neither the Jews nor us Christians can keep the commands to "do this" and "do that" because of the weakness of our flesh, but we can sacrifice. They sacrificed bulls and goats etc. in the Old Testament and were safe from losing their Abrahamic blessings. In the New Testament we all accept Jesus as our final sacrifice for sin. Consequently, the Jews maintain the Abrahamic blessings they were born with and we Gentile Christians begin, because of the new birth and grafting, the same blessings the Jews still have by their physical birth, but now maintained by accepting the sacrifice of Jesus rather that the animal sacrifices etc. Remember, the commands included the sacrifice as their way to maintain the Abrahamic blessings when they sinned. It still does but Jesus is now the sacrifice for both Jew and Gentile. The blessings are the same for both Jew and Gentile since we Gentiles Christians are now grafted into the Abrahamic system of promises. Here's the two things you do now to start the prosperity process. First, plant a money seed. Give an offering. Explain to God that this is a seed offering. Ask Him to multiply it back to you a hundred fold. Make the offering as large as you possibly can. Prepare to make more and more offerings. You will not reap a continuous, large harvest with one seed. Second, speak the following out loud: "Dear God, you blessed the children of Israel above while they were in the wilderness experience with the Four Divisions of Promise. I am in my wilderness now. I have accepted Christ as my savior and final sacrifice for sin. Therefore my sin should not stand in my way of receiving my harvest. I have planted my seed. I am expecting the harvest time to bring forth a thirty, sixty, or a hundred fold return. A-Men." Get your copy of our free Battle Healing Prayer and its Seven Acts of Faith to help you.
