Constancy in Prayer Gets Healing

Lack of constancy when praying for healing shuts off the power for healing. In other words, we must ask and not stop asking till the healing comes. Of course, we are all aware of the view that we should pray once and let God take it from there. This is OK as far as it goes, but I want to show you a deeper look at the healing prayer.

Matthew gives it to us straight and plain

Matt 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV)

Three very important words for the healing ministry

The three words above, ask, seek and knock, are all in the Greek present tense. Now the most common use of the Greek present is to express continuous action in present time.

To make this extremely plain, then, we are to ask and keep on asking. We are to seek and keep on seeking. We are to knock and keep on knocking. This is exactly what the above Scriptures say.

Now apply this to healing. We are to ask, seek and knock continuously. We are to battle sickness and disease with the words of Scripture. We must learn to keep on keeping on and keeping on till we get what we are after.
