It's during times of affliction that we need help and even supernatural preservation.

In the Scripture below, God made his people some of the most outstanding promises in all the Bible. They are all so self-explanatory, we shall just list them.

They will pull you through just about anything the enemy throws at you. Please remember that you are included in them by grafting.

Isa 43:1-3
1 ..O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:..(KJV)

In verse one, God addresses his people with some faith building words: "Fear not!"

Then he shows us three reasons why we need not fear.

1. I have redeemed thee!
2. I have called thee by name!
3. Thou are mine!

In other words, we can readily see that we belong to him. We are his. We are redeemed by him and he has called us by name. No wonder he said, "Thou art mine!"

Then He gives us the following four things just because we are his:

1. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee!
2. When thou passest through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee!
3. When thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned!
4. Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee!

This is preservation during affliction. When we are in God's hands, his grip forever holds. Our hands may slip. His hands will not.
 
His is the grip that holds.

When the enemy comes, the simple Scripture passage above is your ticket. Cling to it and confess it as you cling to it. You are his! The waters, the rivers, the fire and the flames are in his control. He will come through for you . Why?

For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour.
