Do you see it? The man sowed the seed, slept, rose and checked it day after day and it sprung up and grew. But he knew not how!

But you ask, "Could this be translated some other way to give us a different meaning?" No! Not at all!

Read verse 27 in the twenty two different translations below. See for yourself.

The sowing man did not understand what made the seed come up. This is a real faith builder.

In every verse below, the sowing man "knoweth not how" the seed grows.

Mark 4:27

(ASV) and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he knoweth not how.

(BBE) And went to sleep and got up, night and day, and the seed came to growth, though he had no idea how.

(Bishops) And shoulde slepe, and ryse vp nyght and day, and the seede shoulde spryng & growe vp, he knoweth not howe.

(CEV) The farmer sleeps at night and is up and around during the day. Yet the seeds keep sprouting and growing, and he doesn't understand how.

(Darby) and should sleep and rise up night and day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he does not know how.

(DRB) And should sleep, and rise, night and day, and the seed should spring, and grow up whilst he knoweth not.

(EMTV) and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and should grow, he himself does not know how.

(WNT) he spends days and nights, now awake, now asleep, while the seed sprouts and grows tall, he knows not how.

(YLT) and may sleep, and may rise night and day, and the seed spring up and grow, he hath not known how;

This is where the devil really gets us! When we don't know how, he attacks our lack of instruction. But be not afraid! Let me finish here for faith building that makes one shout.

Now between verses 27 and 28 above, something else happens that Jesus did not tell them. You see, God had promised these people the power to get wealth in the Abrahamic covenant. See Deuteronomy 8:18.

What something else happens between these two verses?

God supernaturally touches your offerings and tithes and makes them come alive. In this way, what has life can reproduce itself whereas an inanimate or non living object can not.

This is how the seed grew. God quickened it. This is what the sowing man was not told above. But this is how the seed grew!

Now with the seed quickened, the ground does its  part and the seed turns into a full grown plant, ready to be instantly harvested in its time.

To make this plainer, let me quote Chapter One in my book, How to Amass Abrahamic Wealth. This is the book that TBN gave away about 300,000 copies.

"The Law of Sowing and Reaping with which Abraham was familiar involved something with life in it, that is, something which had the capacity to reproduce, such as livestock or an agricultural seed of wheat, cotton, corn etc.. But, material wealth such as a precious metal, gemstone, money etc., is inanimate. These items lack life. They cannot reproduce themselves. Consequently, was Abraham only looking at the Law of Sowing and Reaping when he paid tithes and gave offerings when God had not placed a requirement upon him to do so? Could it not have been that he was indeed looking to the sowing and reaping law but only after it had been combined with an added power from God which made inanimate things reproduce themselves?

Notice again the definition of the term "bless". It means the "beneficial enduement of the Power of God to Produce well-being in every area of a person's life". The Power of God to Produce!

Abraham linked the Law of Sowing and Reaping law with which he was familiar to God's main, covenant promise to "bless him" in all things. As a result, when he sowed, God supernaturally added the power inherent in "bless" to his sowing and inanimate things supernaturally reproduced themselves many times over. No wonder Abraham tithed and gave offerings even when God did not require it of him.

More proof of this will be seen specifically in the chapter on tithing and the chapter on giving offerings. We shall see in the tithing section, that there are seven supernatural power things which happen when a person tithes. In the section on giving, we shall see that the very thing a person gives is also the very thing that God supernaturally powers up to come back to the giver multiplied many times over. It is as though what you gave was never given to start with.

The Law of Sowing and Reaping combined with God's supernatural power inherent in "bless" gives us the true meaning of Deuteronomy 8:17-18."

Now the earth takes over and produces the full plant ready for harvest.

This is not the time to quit planting. Our only hope in this world now is to keep on sowing.

Times are bad now. Nevertheless, this is the material well being plan for the people of God. We must keep on planting. We must keep on sowing. We must! We must! We must.

Then we can keep on reaping in good times and bad.

This is how the seed grows.

You do not have to understand it. The sowing man above, in all the translations, did not understand it. He just sowed the seed and the seed grew. I say to all of you as well. Just plant the seed. It will grow for you.
