Seeing to Obtain from God Get your free bonuses we promised you here.Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Faith is information we get from God in his word for us to act upon. Once acted upon, God brings the content of his promise into reality or fulfillment for us. Although we do not yet have the fulfillment of the promise, our Bible verse which contains our promise is our evidence that we will get it.When we intently concentrate long enough on our Scripture, we begin to actually see the promise even before we get it. This thought is mind boggling. We can see the content of God's Scripture promises to us. When we see this content of one of God's Scripture promises, the fulfillment of our promise is on the way. Look at the following examples.Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Noah had never seen rain before, but he moved with fear and built the ark based only upon what God said. Noah seemed not to have seen anything, but moving only upon God's word will get the job done also. Nonetheless, seeing the realization of the fulfillment of the promises is an even greater incentive to stay the course of faith. Look at the examples below. Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Of course, they all received all the promises that pertained to their life on earth. That part of the promises, however, that pertained to their life in heaven, they did not receive while they were living. Notice, though, that they saw them afar off. Notice also that they were persuaded of them, they embraced them and they confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. This persuasion, this embracing and this confession was based on what they saw concerning the promises. Heb 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. Moses' parents had a word from God concerning Moses. When the king tried to kill him, they were not afraid of his commandments. They saw a different outcome based, not only upon what God said, but based also upon what they saw about what God said. They saw he was a proper child. Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. | |
