God's Portion for You is to Enjoy the Good from the Fruit of Your Labors All the Days of Your Life

God's Portion for You is to Enjoy the Good from the Fruit of Your Labors All the Days of Your Life!

Ecclesiastes 5:18 RV

18 Behold, that which I have seen to be good and to be comely is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labour, wherein he laboureth under the sun, all the days of his life which God hath given him: for this is his portion.

  • The Scriptures above declare some things we need to grasp. First, the above Scripture says it is good and comely for one to eat and drink and enjoy all the good in all his labour.

  • Second, it extends to all our labour.

  • Third, this enjoyment is to last all the days of our life.

  • Fourth, we must understand that all the above is given to us by God himself.

  • Finally, we must understand that all of this is God's portion for us.

From the above, we should not feel guilty because God is giving us prosperity through the fruit of all our labors. We should also expect a life time of good coming our way. After all, God said this is our portion.

Furthermore, we are not told to expect good from the labor of others. We expect good from the labors of ourselves.

Compare this with what is happening in the world today. Many want to be given the good of the labor of others. God no where promises this. Instead, the Bible way is to understand that God has emphatically declared that this is his portion for you.

Get this well. God has promised you a portion. This comes to us in the form of a  promise. When the Scripture says, "this is his portion," it means we have a  portion and this is it: It is good to eat and drink and enjoy the good from all the fruit of all our labors for all our lifetime!

Can you not see this? We have a portion. We have a portion. We have a portion.

This portion comes from God directly to us. We do not need to cash in on the labors of others. The labors of others have no promise attached to them for us. The fruits of other people's labors contain no promise from God about anything for us.

But here, in this simple Scripture above, we have a portion from God. The borders of this simple promise is broad and includes much. It includes all the good, all the fruit, for all our lifetime. This is my portion.

Now let's personalize the above Scripture.

How do we  personalize a Scripture? We simply write or type the Scripture and insert our own name into it making it speak concerning us. See below.

Ecclesiastes 5:18 RV

18 It is good and comely for me to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all my labour, wherein I labor under the sun, all the days of my life which God hath given me: for this is my portion!!!

Next we must confess this Scripture out loud over and over and over.

This is to get it into your spirit man and at the same time make it happen. You see we make the word of God happen when we confess it over and over and over until it actually happens.

Then we draw some conclusions from the above Scripture. If I am to enjoy good from all my labors, then I must have a labor or skill and a place or company where I can perform my labors. in other words, I must  have a job or a business of my own.

This is the need around the world today. People must have jobs or a business of their own.

Finally we pray the above directly to God our Father using Jesus' name.

Finally, we put all the above together in a specific prayer to our Father using Jesus' name. First, we confess the above Scripture to him in prayer, reminding him that we are included in the promise contained in it. Second, remind him of who you are: a child of God and a seed of Abraham. Then ask him for a job or business.

This approach puts the responsibility for your job or business on God. It shows him that you look to him as your source, not any one else nor any other group. You are now looking to God as your source. Of course he may use other people and groups to produce your job, but you are going directly through him and not another person or group.

Confess it and pray it in the manner above.
